TOTEM at SMCL 2024: improving mobile connectivity

TOTEM is proud to announce its participation in the 2024 edition of the Salon des Maires et des Collectivités Locales (SMCL) in France. This event is a unique opportunity to highlight our commitment to improving mobile connectivity in both urban and rural areas. Through the mutualization of infrastructures, we actively contribute to the resolution of white zones and the digital development of territories.

Infrastructure mutualization: an asset for mobile coverage

Infrastructure mutualization is at the heart of our strategy at TOTEM. By allowing multiple operators to share the same infrastructure, we optimize resources and reduce costs. This translates into improved mobile coverage in both cities and countryside. Indeed, data consumption increases by 30% each year, and it is essential to meet this growing demand.

We have already built 595 pylons as part of the New Deal, enabling over 99.6% of the metropolitan population to benefit from good Voice/SMS coverage. Our goal is to reach the most remote areas, particularly in Corsica, the Pyrenees, and the Alps.

TOTEM supports local authorities in their connectivity needs

TOTEM is committed to supporting local authorities in their connectivity needs. Our 24 Regional Territory Managers (RRT) are on the ground to identify the specific needs of each region. We offer tailored solutions, such as public infrastructure supervision, public lighting management, and IoT deployment for a connected city.

We firmly believe that our collaboration with local authorities can lead to fruitful and sustainable results. By integrating our infrastructures into the local landscape, we ensure to minimize visual impact while guaranteeing optimal connectivity.

Connecting the city of tomorrow

With the rise of digital technologies, the city of tomorrow must be connected and resilient. TOTEM offers innovative solutions to address the challenges of digital territory development. Our infrastructures enable the deployment of advanced technologies, such as video surveillance, smart city management, and secure message transmission.

We are also committed to ecological initiatives, such as biodiversity preservation and landscape integration. By collaborating with partners like the League for the Protection of Birds, we ensure to protect our environment while developing our infrastructures.

TOTEM’s participation in the Salon des Maires et des Collectivités Locales 2024 is an opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to improving effective and sustainable mobile connectivity. Through infrastructure mutualization, we can contribute to the end of white zones and the digital development of territories. Together, let’s build a connected future for all.
