Arnaud Delpreat Chief Executive Officer - Netmore France

Can you explain what Netmore does?

Netmore is a Swedish-origin operator that recently expanded its activities to several countries, including France in 2023. The company specializes in Low Power Wide Area Network (LPWAN), a technology that allows connecting objects to the Internet while consuming little energy.

80% of Netmore’s activity in France focuses on two main areas:

Additionally, Netmore is also involved in the technical management of buildings, using sensors to monitor and optimize systems such as heating.

What type of equipment do you host on TOTEM’s infrastructures?

In France, Netmore exclusively uses LoRaWAN technology. The equipment hosted by TOTEM consists of small gateways, comparable to a shoebox, that enable communication between connected objects and the Internet.

These devices play a crucial role in collecting data from sensors and transmitting it via the traditional mobile network (3G/4G) to Netmore’s platform. This allows clients to access real-time information about their installations.

How did you hear about TOTEM?

Netmore acquired the LoRaWAN assets from Bouygues Telecom, which allowed them to recover strategic locations. However, to densify their network in France, they needed additional coverage and thus telecommunications infrastructure. TOTEM, with its extensive site portfolio, emerged as an obvious solution to meet this need.

What led you to choose TOTEM over another player?

TOTEM’s reputation, along with its connection to Orange, was a decisive factor in Netmore’s choice. We particularly appreciated the business relationship with TOTEM, especially with Ana, the account manager in charge of our account. The understanding of Netmore’s needs and the fluidity of exchanges facilitated collaboration, unlike other tower companies with which we faced difficulties.

How do you envision the future of your collaboration with TOTEM?

The future of the collaboration will depend on Netmore’s ability to sell large-scale networks. Our ambition is to increase from 1 million to 20 million connected objects in the next five years. To achieve these goals, Netmore will continue to work with TOTEM to deploy its equipment across France.

The synergy between TOTEM and Netmore could play a key role in the expansion of IoT in France and beyond. We look forward to seeing how this relationship evolves in the coming years.
